The "passenger" line runs between Moor Road & Middleton Park stations. There is also a branch from Moor Road to Balm Lane Junction, where there is a rarely used connection with the main line from Leeds to Normanton & beyond. This Middleton Railway identified this as the "Balm Road" branch. Another branch to Dartmouth Road once served industrial premises, but is much curtailed and now sees little use.

Locos not in use are displayed in the museum. Other locos may be in the nearby workshops, whilst others are stored outside, often  waiting for sufficient funds (& volunteer time) to repair them.
